The Hague African Festival has been initiated by the African migrant organisation SANKOFA Foundation, former organiser of the meanwhile dissolved African Festival Delft. The aim of SANKOFA (it means as much as “to understand the present, you have to know the past”) is to build bridges between the Africans and the Dutch.
