Tentoonstelling 

Thema: Muziek als communicatiemiddel

Feel the rhythm and discover the roots van jazz tot salsa, van hiphop tot rock-‘n-roll: muziek is grensoverschrijdend en universeel. Het doet iets met je. Het beweegt je en laat je bewegen. Net zoals muziek zelf ook constant in beweging is. De tentoonstelling Muziek als communicatiemiddel neemt je mee op een muzikale reis. Ontdek de roots en evolutie van muziek in Afrika door een uitgebreid authentieke muziekinstrumenten uit Afrika zoals: Tama, Sabar, Balafon en Djembe. Luister en beleeft het geluid van traditionele muziekinstrumenten. De tentoonstelling “Muziek als Communicatiemiddel” laat zien hoe muziek gebruikt wordt in Afrika om een boodschap over te brengen.

Muziek als communicatiemiddel is er voor iedereen en alle leeftijden.

Filmvoorstelling in het Haagse Filmhuis

Net als tijdens achterliggende jaren zal het Filmhuis, in samenwerking met THAF en iAfrica in de maand juni enkele thema filmavonden organiseren.

Het Zuiderpark fungeert op zondag 14 juli als het centrum voor de festivalconcerten welke de basis vormen van The Hague African Festival. Hier komen twee hoofdpodia ’s (Wakanda en Jollove Stage) waar zowel professionele Afrikaanse artiesten als Amateurs zullen optreden

Naast de concerten zal in het Zuiderpark ook weer de traditionele Afrikaanse markt te vinden zijn. Zowel in het park als binnen het theater zullen in totaal ca. 35 kramen te vinden zijn met de mooiste Afrikaanse kunst, kleding en sieraden.

KINDERPROGRAMMA

De jongsten onder ons worden zeker niet overgeslagen op THAF. Tussen 12.00 en 13.30 uur staan zij centraal met een cultureel programma vol muziek, theater, workshops, verhalen vertellen en een kinderspeelplaats. Muzikale kids (en ouders) kunnen hun talent aan het publiek laten zien op het grote podium
